The Wastebits Dashboard has long been the home of some light reporting features, giving businesses an at-a-glance view of their waste activity. This is the first screen that many users see when they log into Wastebits, and several iterations over the years have made this entry screen a very useful page to launch from to complete various tasks.
Wastebits has long-served users across the United States, as well as their customers. Over time, however, our user base has been requesting the support of other languages, both for customers within the United States, and abroad. A growing number of people using the Wastebits platform are doing so from across the globe, and we want to be sure to provide the best experience possible in their native language.
We are pleased to announce that Melissa Puchalla has joined Wastebits as our new Vice President of Sustainability. Welcome to the Wastebits Update, where we share updates with our software and services for the waste industry.
Wastebits Insights provides unprecedented access into waste industry data with an easy-to-use interface. While many users are able to accomplish everything they need to research or build out their sales pipelines from within the application itself, some users have expressed the desire to export contact information and waste data for use within their CRM software such as Salesforce, or to build out their own spreadsheets for internal use.
For Wastebits waste profiling software users, notifications are an indispensable way to quickly view the latest activity from customers and members of their team. For smaller companies, simply listing the missed notifications is manageable. Still, the notifications can pile up quite quickly and be challenging to sort through and manage for some of our larger customers.
It's hard to believe that ten years ago Wastebits started as an idea aboard a bus traveling between Las Vegas, NV, and Austin, TX. A company called StartupBus has been gathering entrepreneurs and software engineers for years from various cities in North America and driving them to the SXSW Conference in Austin. Along the way they form small groups and build a pitch for a startup company, to be presented to investors at their final destination.
In 2012, one of those ideas was a software idea geared toward the waste industry, the group named their software Wastebits, and it would go on to be one of the success stories of StartupBus.
